SAVANNAH, GA – December 9, 2019 – Continuing the celebration of its annual holiday season Red Kettle Campaign, The Salvation Army of Savannah will host a community concert on Thursday, Dec. 19 at the Georgia State Railroad Museum, 655 Louisville Rd. Gates will open at 5 p.m. and the concert begins at 6 p.m.
Join The Salvation Army and special guest, Vaden Automotive Group President & Dealer Operator Jane Vaden Thacher, for this exciting event. Roger Moss, local celebrity and founder of Savannah Children’s Choir and Savannah Exploratory Charter Academy, will emcee this family-friendly community gathering featuring performances by the Savannah Theatre Troupe, Savannah Children’s Choir, Danielle Hicks and the Resistance, and local singer/songwriter Yaquinto with his band, featuring J-Rive Music. Those in attendance can enjoy food and refreshments from Chazito’s, Prowl, The Big Cheese, and 6 Gear Dog House. Attendees will also have a chance to enter to win door prizes (must be present to win) including a dolphin tour, Every Day Boater polarized glass lens sunglasses, a Milan Day Spa gift card, free lunch for a year for two from Panera, and more.
“We are eager to celebrate our Red Kettle Campaign with the community during this exciting event,” said Major Paul Egan. “This will be a great evening to get in the holiday spirit while enjoying wonderful performances and supporting our mission of giving to those in need.”
While this is a free community concert, a $5 donation is encouraged.
