SAVANNAH, GA – January 23, 2020 – The Savannah Philharmonic is slated to present An Evening of Tango, celebrating the thrill of Latin dance with hot music, seductive Tango moves, signature sangria and tempting tapas. Hosted by Maestro Keitaro Harada, this exciting fundraising event will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2020 at Victory North, 2603 Whitaker St. Joining in the musical festivities as guest singer will be the highly acclaimed Argentinean-American baritone, Gustavo Feulien!

Hailed by the New York Times as “rich voiced” and by Opera News as “interesting and convincing in his portrayal of Scarpia and most impressive in Te Deum” in Tosca, honors and awards for Gustavo Feulien include the impressive Argentinian Music Critics Association Award for his performances in Lohengrin and Fedra, and as a Finalist at the Hans Gabor Belvedere and Monserrat Caballe´s Competition. Feulien’s American career was launched with a Carnegie Hall debut in Faure´s Requiem and with DiCapo Opera, then as a part of a US tour singing Silvio in Pagliacci. Most recently, Gustavo performed as Scarpia in Tosca with Maryland Symphony Orchestra and is set to perform this role again with Gulfshore Symphony.

This spectacular event is the orchestra’s major fundraiser of the year, with proceeds supporting the Philharmonic’s mission of informing, instructing and enriching the community through orchestral and choral performances as well as promoting and increasing community knowledge and appreciation of the arts. Tickets are $150 per person.

Event Patrons not only support the Philharmonic but gain special entree to what is certain to be one of this season’s most delightful and memorable evenings.
