The Savannah Ballet Theatre is calling dancers to dust off those tutus, slide on their slippers (or lace up their pointe shoes)and come practice everything from pirouettes to passés at Summer Intensives. The classes are designed with a focus on technique, stamina, strength and other fundamentals of a well-rounded dance education.

For rising third- through seventh-graders, Savannah Ballet Theatre is hosting two-weeks of intensives from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. from July 15-26. Following a midday lunch break, dancers will return to the studio to study musical theatre, jazz, contemporary, strength and conditioning, choreography and ballet history. After class, the dancers will get the chance to apply their skills to an exciting classical ballet variation.

Students can attend one or both weeks of intensives. The registration fee for one week of classes is $250 ($200 for company members) and $400 for both weeks ($350 for company members).
