RICHMOND HILL, GA – January 27, 2017 – Valentine’s Day is coming up and while everyone knows that this signifies romance, it may surprise many that this is also a day of maternal love due to a significant increase in the number of births throughout the world. According to data from the U.S National Center for Health Statistics, the U.S. Social Security Administration, and Yale University researchers, there is an uplift in registered births every Feb, 14 with nearly 12,000 babies expected in this country alone, contributing to the 1.6 million total births worldwide on Valentine’s Day. Although Feb. 14 is the most popular birth date during the first four months of each year, researchers do not speculate whether this is because this date is nine months after Memorial Day weekend and the beginning of summer!

To celebrate the month of love, Megan Myrick Photography in Richmond Hill is observing the occasion with a special deal. From now through the end of February, when clients book a newborn session with Myrick, the photographer plans to donate a newborn session to an expectant or new mother who is experiencing economic hardship. Myrick is working with Richmond Hill’s Pregnancy Care Center to identify women who would most benefit from the gift of a donated session.

An international award-winning photographer, Myrick specializes in newborn, maternity, baby, child and family photography in Savannah and the surrounding areas. Megan Myrick Photography provides a custom portrait experience with timeless heirloom quality art for you and your family to cherish for years to come.

“I wanted to find a way to celebrate welcoming thousands of precious babies to our world after learning about the prevalence of Valentine’s Day births,” Myrick – a mother of two boys – said. “Newborn and maternity sessions are so precious – not only to the families I photograph, but also to me – so I was eager to seize this opportunity and ‘spread the love’ on this special day.”
