SAVANNAH, GA – Oct. 3, 2019 – Historic Savannah Foundation’s (HSF) Annual Gala will be held Saturday, Oct. 19 under the stars in historic Forsyth Park, 2 W Gaston Street. The Annual Gala, now in its 28th year, is hosted by HSF each year to celebrate what makes Savannah special, and to raise the funds necessary for the nonprofit organization to fulfill its mission.

The 2019 Gala – themed “Call of the Triton’s Horn” and presented by Savannah Investors – is a multifaceted event, designed to give guests a glimpse into the important work HSF does to save Savannah’s buildings, places, and stories. This elegant affair will begin with privately hosted cocktail parties at historic homes close to the park from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., after which, attendees will head into Forsyth Park for mingling, fine dining, and a silent auction. At 8:30 p.m. HSF will honor its first-ever Spirit Award recipient, Mr. Richard C. Kessler, with a beautiful trophy designed, produced, and donated by J. Chad Crawford, owner of 13 Secrets Savannah. Live musical entertainment, provided by John Brackett and the Equinox All Stars, and dancing will cap off the special evening, which concludes at 11 p.m. This year’s sumptuous dinner will be catered by Cynthia Creighton of Cape Creations Catering.

Membership in HSF is a pre-requisite to purchase tickets. Members may purchase individual tickets for $250 each, a table of 10 for $2,750, or a table of 8 for $2,200.

“HSF’s Gala remains one of our city’s most beloved annual events, and we look forward to seeing everyone at this year’s incredible event spearheaded by Kim Lyle, Gala chair and the wonderful Gala committee,” said HSF Interim President & CEO Sue Adler.
