BRYAN COUNTY, GA – March 19, 2020 – Bryan County’s Community Development Department remains committed to providing timely services to residents with offices remaining open and implementing increased levels of sanitation for personnel, facilities and equipment. The Department is offering modified service delivery processes to maximize efficiency and minimize risk to employees and residents in response to health concerns regarding the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
Bryan County continues to encourage residents to utilize online portal options for services, whenever possible, in order to protect the health and well-being of everyone in our community. Applications and inspection reports are all available in a digital format and building permits are delivered to online accounts avoiding the need for in person pick up from county offices. Checks for permit fees, etc. can be mailed or dropped off in designated boxes; department personnel check these regularly throughout the working day and payments are posted to builders’ accounts promptly.
“We are continuing to expand and implement our online service delivery systems and keep on track with our commitments via teleconferences and digital processes,” said Audra Miller, Community Development Director at Bryan County. “Regarding Code Enforcement actions, we are sympathetic to residents’ personal situations and are allowing more time for responses to code complaints,” she added.
