It has been especially cool to lead my awesome team at LFPR this year. Last month I was honored to be invited to be part of two prestigious panels. The first was the Tourism Leadership Council’s – sold out – January Connection Luncheon where I was one of four local communications specialists asked to share our insights into social media today. Always a treat to work with Michael Owens and Molly Swagler from the TLC and I was excited to be alongside Lauren Cleland from Visit Savannah as well as Nancy Fullbright and Krystal Hart. Then during the last weekend of January I was part of the (Hurricane Matthew rescheduled) Geekend panel on Getting Media Attention for your Startup with Kiki Roeder and Renee Spurlin.
In more cool news LFPR is delighted to have been appointed as marketing partners to Savannah based Cool Body Contouring to take responsibility for the company’s branding, online and social media presence, community outreach initiatives, media relations and copywriting. Cool Body Contouring is one of the few clinics in the United States exclusively specializing in CoolSculpting®. CoolSculpting’s® unique technology uses controlled cooling to freeze and eliminate unwanted fat cells without surgery or downtime. The procedure is FDA cleared, safe and effective. More than five million CoolSculpting® treatments have been performed worldwide. Dr. Martin E. Everhard, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.S brings this unique treatment to Savannah though the Cool Body Contouring clinic he founded and operates on White Bluff Road, along with his nurse, Michelle Sell.
As I write this I have just returned from a very cool snowbound New York City where I was privileged to attend the fourth annual VOICE Gala held at New York’s exclusive private Harmonie Club. There was also a handful of us from Savannah who left balmy temperatures to enjoy “Opera with a Southern Flair” hosted by opera legend and VOICExperience co-founder Sherrill Milnes and Georgia born and raised based opera star, Jamie Barton. LFPR has been working with VOICExperience and the Savannah VOICE Festival since 2012 and we are already planning for an amazing fifth annual VOICE Festival in August.
Before that, this week sees the long awaited 24th American Traditions Vocal Competition and then I am very excited about seeing Asbury Memorial Theatre perform Steel Magnolias in March. We are certainly lucky to enjoy so much culture as part of our work at LFPR.
